Kosta or Coastal Andhra is regarded as an important part of the Andhra Pradesh. During the time of 1953 till 1956, it used to come under Madras. According to the current details that are available, it is spread in an area of 92,905 sq kms and it is having the population of approximately 34,192,867. This is one of the Andhra Pradesh coastal districts and they are lying between Bay of Bengal and Eastern Ghats. They would be forming northern border through Orissa till south and Krishna River Delta. Some of the important Rivers such as Nagavalli and Vamsadhara are 2 important rivers and they are present In Andhra Pradesh Srikakulam. Sharada River would be starting through Devarapally that is present at Visakhapatnam district and then it would be draining into Bay of Bengal.

Vamsadhara River is also popular by the name of Bansadhara and it is one of the most important eastern flowing river and that is present between godavari and Mahanadu and it lies in the South Orissa as well as North East Andhra Pradesh States. This river would be streteching through Thuamal Rampur borders and that is present in Kalahandi district and then in the Kalyansignhpur that is present in the Rayagada Orissa district and then it would be stretching for 250 kms and then it would be joining the course of Bay of Bengal that is present at Kalingapatnm.

 

This river was also misquoted that it was originating through Niyamgiri Mountain and this was mainly for the protection of mining. Its entire area of catchments is approximately 10,825 sq kms. Some of the tourist attractive places of Kalingapatnam and Mukhalingam are present at this river banks only.        This river has got its name through the word Bansa as well as Dhara. It would be originating through bamboo trees and therefore it was given the name of Bansadhara and that is located at Oriya and it was transliterated as the Vamsadhara in the Telugu.

This river Nagavalli is regarded as an important Southern Orissa and Andhra Pradesh eastern states river and it is present between Godavari and Mahanadi.

 

Origin and Course

 

This river would be rising through eastern slopes and that are present near to the Lakhbahal and Orissa Kalahanadi district and they are lying at an elevation of 1300 m. According to geographic co-ordinates of this river, its nortehrn latitudes are at 18 11 till 19 45 and eastern latitudes are at 81 52 82 06.

 

This river was also misquoted along with the other rivers and that they have been originating through Niyamgiri mountains for the protection if mining and it has also got the another name of Langulya. This river is having the entire length of 256 kms and 160 kms are present in the Orissa and rest is present in the Andhra Pradesh. Basin’s catchment area is approximately 9500 sq kms and this is one of the interstate rivers and it is having an area of 4460 km sq and 5048 km sq. This is one of the river basins and it would be receiving 1000mm average rainfall. Its uplands are mainly present in hilly areas and it comprises the tribal population. Some of its drain parts would be including the Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi and these are Orissa districts and Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram are Andhra Pradesh districts.

This River Sarada is one of the mid-size rivers and it is present at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is having geographic coordinates of northern latitude that is 18 24 to 19 17 and eastern longitude that is 81 32 till 82 06.

 

It is having the catchment area of approximately 2664 sq kms and it stretches at a distance of 120 kms and then it would be joining Bay of Bengal.
