Kali River is also known by the name of Kalinandi and it would be flowing through uttara district and that is Karwar and it is present in Indian Karnataka state. It has its origination through diggi and it is a small village that is present in the Kannada Uttar district. It is considered to be the lifelife for four lakh people and it is utilized for supporting thousands of public and that includes Karwar coast fishermen. You would get to view some of the important dams and they have been constructed across river and they are utilized for generating electricity. Ganeshgudi is a significant dam and it has been constructed across the Kali River. It would be extending up to 180 kms and then only it would be joining the Arabian Sea. NH-17 would be continuing through Kali Bridge and it would get split in Sadashivgad granite hill and then it would be connecting Karnataka till Goa.

 

Origin and Course

 

This river is having its origin from Diggi and they are flowing in the west direction and they would join Arabian Sea in the Karwar town. This river would be flowing in Uttara Kannada district and it was earlier called by the name of North Canara. It is having tributaries and that is Tattihalla and Kaneri.

This Netravati River is also known by the name of Nethravathi River and it is having its origin through Gangamoola and that is present at Chikkamagaluru distrcit, Kudremukh in Karnataka district, India. It would be flowing through Dharmasthala and this is a popular pilgrimgage and it is also an ancient Indian Rivers. It would be merging with Kumaradhara River and then it would be flowing in Arabian Sea and that is Mangalore city south. This is one of the significant rivers and it is also a water source for Mangalore and Bantwal. Railway Netravathi Bridge is one of the popular bridges and that would be serving Mangalore gateway. In earlier century, it was known by the name of Buntwal River and a Bantwal town is also present in that region. Nettrawutti cannot be afforded during the time of South and west monsoon and this is effectually visible through Southern India Gazattteer and it was published in year 1855. It comprises of 200 yards breadth and it is having rocky masses and they would be comprising of small and mica garnets. You can also get to check out the pegmatite beautiful fragments and they are having the flesh color. It is popular for craft in many small countries. Sharavathi is one of the rivers that would be originating and it would be flowing in Indian Karnataka state. It is known to be few flowing westward rivers and its major part is present in Western Ghat. Jog Falls have been formed through this river only. This is one of the rivers that is biodiversity rich and it is also home to numerous flora and fauna rare species.

 

Origin and Topography

 

This river has originated through the place that is Ambutheertha and it is present in Thirthahalli Shimoga district. According to the legendry Ramayana, Rama that is Hindu God had taken the bow for winning the Sita hand. It is having a total length of 128 kms and it would be joining into Arabian Sea and they are present nearer to the Kannada Uttara district. It would be forming the Jog falls and they would be falling from 252 mts height. It would be getting dammed at the Linganamakki and its entire portion would be upstream and some of its tributaries include- Haridravathi, Hurlihole, Nandihole, Hilkunji, Mavinahole, Yennehole, and Nagodihole. Its upstream river would be getting extended till Shimoga and that is Sagara and Hosanagara and they are having an area of the 2986 km sq.
